My work is a very personal one, based in a consistent search of ways to experiment with shape, materials and production process.

 

Very often, a piece of work is not created to fulfill a specific goal. I don't like to define what I want from an object before exploring enough of it. I enjoy having a creative process in an inductive way —from specifics to generalities— about shape or accidental effect in the object.

 

After working in Bala Studio (www.balastudio.com) I felt like having a closer approach to objects in the fashion world: accessories have always been cult objects. They are a person's strength and identity's reflection, and getting closer to people's energy trough designing is a challenge I love to face.

 

My relationship with materials is truly open. Material, they are thrilling, from those that come from nature as perfect as they can be, to those created by technology geniuses.

 

Xanath Lammoglia

Born in Mexico City in 1973, she graduated as ballet dancer. Dancing professionally with the Company "Ballet de Cámara Concertante" for 5 years.

 

Because of her great interest of design, she developed her carreer in that field independently, explored techniques, materials and processes in the different workshops she also attended to " Instituto de Ciencias y Artes para el Diseño de Modas" where she learned fashion design. During 1999 she took part of one year course on fashion accessories in the "Instituto Marangoni" in Milan, Italy.

 

In 2000 she founded Bala Studio together with Andrés Amaya where she continued her work in design.

 

Her work has been presented in national and international fairs and shows like: Ambiente (Frankfurt), Saloni die Mobile (Milano) Galería OMR (México), Galería Mexicana de Diseño (México) Ludens Gallery (México), Latin American Design Fondation (Amsterdam), Franz Mayer Museum (México), Expo Shanghai 2010, Palacio de Iturbide Banamex (México) 2012/2013, Museo Amparo(Puebla, México) 2013/2014, Centro de las Artes de San Agustín (Oaxaca, México) 2014.
